Two Rooms

Two Rooms

Deep in your heart there are two rooms.
One filled with joy and happiness, the other with gloom.
Positive or negative thoughts about your spouse.
Are in these two rooms that you house.
The grateful room of appreciation,
or the hateful room of depreciation.

Encouragement and thoughtfulness of your mate.
Or, frustrations and disappointments that you debate.
One of these rooms you visit often and can't wait.
Remembering things that you sort and date.
Some loving memories and others full of hate.
You know why you enjoy visiting these places.
Is it the expressions you see in each other faces?

Full of smiles or filled with guile?
Which room will you visit for awhile?
In one your relationship will flourish and grow.
And the other will be bitter and cold.
One you have placed wonderful things.
And in the other, resentment you bring.

Your marriage will henge upon the room you choose.
Be careful...in one you will loose!
Your marriage will be in ruins and break.
Because you kept adding to heartaches.
Love knows not to visit in there.
It chooses the best and believes with care.
It focuses on the positive things to share.

To increase the room of appreciation
And decrease the room of depreciation.
Deep in your heart there are two rooms.
By which one will you be consumed?
