A man's heart who can know it?

It's fickle with fits.

Often times it just forgets

Alone, ponders and sits.

Often broken, torn apart.

The heart has no thoughts.

It easily can be caught,

And many times even bought.

It can be empty or filled,

Hot, warm, cold or chilled.

Have moments of being thrilled

And is lovingly skilled.

Yet, can hold anger and rage.

Feel fenced in and caged.

Be compassionate engaged.

Turn fiery red to ice beige.

The heart is lost in how to feel,

Needing what is real.

Nothing in this world will yield.

Yes, man's heart only God can fill.
