Courage to Continue
The conductor nodded and the orchestra began.
The majestic sounds followed His directive hands.
Suddenly a violin's string snapped and broke the grand sound.
A broken string, what would he do to turn it around?
The superb artist recomposed the piece in his head.
New fingering positions as the conductor led.
Such wonderful notes formed from a three-string violin.
A truly clever performance as never had been.
The audience exploded with appreciative applause.
It was the artist's task to continue without pause.
Amazing how much he could do with what he had left.
Whatever strings are missing or broken on one's self,
If one concentrates, listens and applies what they know.
Beautiful music is still possible for the show.
With what one has left they'll learn music on one else plays.
As the three string violinist did, the very same way.
